Nails of the Week,

If there is one thing I do every week without fail, it's that I paint my nails. My nails are always a different colour every week! I'm not in anyway perfect at it at all and don't try to be. It's just something I do.
I have tried acrylic nails but I was so uncomfortable with them on I really didn't like it and as silly as this may sound, I was quite scared of being clumsy enough like I am, but to catch one and not only rip off the false nail, but also my actual nail underneath too! So, I stick with the safe bet that I know and I just paint  them myself.

So, for this week, the nail colour is Supersonic by Barry M.
Guys, I am absolutely LOVING this lately!! Now, I know it's not very seasonal but it's so, so nice!
The picture doesn't really do it any justice if I'm honest.
It's like a sparkly electric blue colour, but has a tint of purple in it too depending on the lighting wherever you are.
I'm a bit of a plain Jane when it comes to nails and clothing and stick with safe, but this shade is so not me that I love it.
This is part of their Quick Dry collection they have and if you don't have any of the Quick Dry, I highly recommend that you go and get yourselves some! The stuff is a godsend when you're in a rush and need to get your nails done! They dry almost instantly!

I got this shade along with 2 others that I will be using over the next few weeks so make sure to keep a look out for them!
I picked all 3 up from my local Superdrug store and I think there is a 3 for 2 offer on across all makeup or nails, which I'm not 100% sure but I do know there is definitely a 3 for 2 offer on at the minute!

Thank you so much for reading :)

Review - No7 Airbrush Away Foundation.

So, a few weeks a go I had a bit of a foundation crisis. It was honestly a nightmare and far too dramatic. If you're somewhat intrigued by the events that followed, then go and check out this previous post.

Anyway, during the process of purchasing some new foundation, This caught my eye.
Now, I should probably say that for me personally, No7 foundation, or any of their stuff in general is an absolute godsend for me!! I use the Instant Radiance foundation in the shade of Warm Beige and It is unreal!! I swear by the stuff, it's also a very reasonable price too! And if you're unsure of what shade to get, I suggest taking the colour match and it works 100%
Anyway, back to what I was saying.
I saw the stand for the product as soon as I entered the store and thought "I have a bit of spare money, why not buy it and see what it's like" And so, as you have probably guessed by the whole point of this post, I did exactly that.

And here is the product itself.

The bottle is only small, but it uses a squeeze pump application, that allows you to put on the perfect amount to the back of your hand or whatever your preferred way of applying.
For me, this is perfect because I struggle to put on the perfect amount when using the bottle with the pump. I always either put on too much, or not enough, so for me this is so ideal.

When I first tried it, my face was a hormonal state, so it wasn't in the best condition. When the foundation was on, you couldn't really tell and the coverage wasn't the best if I'm going to be honest, so I waited for my face to clear up and wow, what a difference!!
I only used a tiny bit and the coverage it gave was unreal! It also lasted so long, which normally foundation doesn't especially if you're out and dancing the night away (which I definitely was, Terribly too may I add).

The only thing that I don't know how I feel about with this product is, the foundation it's self is really runny so as soon as you put it on your face, you have to start blending almost straight away, you can't really leave it and do another section of your face.

Other than that, this product is really good and it's something that I will definitely be purchasing again!!

Thank you for reading guys :)

Foundation Fails.

One of the main things that I honestly hate, is running out of foundation. Or any make up for that matter. Especially foundation though.
Sadly, this happened to me a few weeks ago and I had no other money to go out and buy my old faithful foundation which I swear by!
The timing of running out of the foundation couldn't have come at a worse time either, it was that time we all love to hate every month and as ever, my face was all redness and giant spots (Not a very pretty sight at all).

Now, I will mention I have just got into a new relationship with someone I've been seeing for a while, we are together and happy however we are taking things pretty slow and not rushing anything. Anyway, because the relationship is very new, we're going out to places quite a lot and well, if I'm going to be completely honest, I didn't want to go out with him in public and not have a tiny bit of make up on so this made the whole scenario a little more dramatic and over exaggerated that what it actually needed to be.

In a mad rush I headed off to town and thought I'd try the Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation.  I'd never used it before prior to this but had heard quite a few good reviews and things about it, so got it and gave it a go.
If I'm going to be perfectly honest, it wasn't my cup of tea at all. I found that after using it, it made my face break out even more and a lot worse!
I stuck with my every day routine which I know works but during the short period of time I spent using this particular foundation, it gradually made it even worse and I just couldn't get on with it at all.

Thankfully I have now stocked up on my regular No7 foundation and noticed my face clear up massively! I made sure I bought enough bottles so that I don't run out of any for a while!!

I would also like to say that, Just because that wasn't my cup of tea, doesn't necessarily mean it is the same for everyone else. Make up is all about trial and error, you don't know what suits you and what doesn't without trying. That was just my personal opinion of the product.
