Smart Casual Work Look.

One of the main questions I find myself asking is "what am I going to wear for work today?!"
Like, it is seriously one of the hardest decisions I have to make on a daily basis.
We have no set uniform, the dress code is smart casual but like, that dress code is something I find myself really struggling with.
I am only an administrator for an Occupational Health company but, I feel like the pressure is still there to look good for work in case any clients are to come in or something. Anyway, I think yesterday I had the smart casual look spot on!

Admittedly the picture quality isn't the greatest. But I LOVE this outfit!!
It was so simple too.

I'll let you into a really bad secret, the shirt is in fact a dress, but what I did is I put it with some black cigarette trousers and so that meant I could safely tuck the bottom part of the dress into my trousers and no one could tell. Bad, I know, but it totally worked.

The shoes I wore with the outfit are definitely my new favourites!
I originally got them for a Northern Soul night I'm going to with my boyfriend and his family and friends which I cannot wait for! But yeah, they're heeled loafers and lets just say, me and heeled shoes have a mutual dislike for one and other, especially when alcohol is involved.
I loved these shoes though as soon as I saw them and worried my night would be ruined because my shoes are bothering me after a while, so what better way than to wear them for work and bed them in like that?

Can I just say they are the comfiest heeled shoes I think I've ever owned! I adore them so much.

They seemed to just go perfectly with the outfit that I wore for work too which is a bonus.

I literally loved this outfit, felt like a completely different person and the amount of compliments I got from people was unreal. Something I'm definitely not used to. I will definitely be dressing like that a lot more for work.

Escaping the room.

If there is one thing I hate more than anything it's being in a dark place and feeling like something will unexpectedly jump out at me.
Escape the room carried all that along with it.

All 8 of us headed off into the city centre and went to escape the room.

Getting to the room itself was like a maze, long, cold corridors and staircases.

Once we finally got to where we needed to, we had to take part in the sign in process and read the declaration they had. You know, the usual sort of stuff when taking part in an activity. We were ready to try and escape from Alcatraz.

After this is when our experience truly started!

All 8 of us were given a specific role which we needed to undertake once locked inside the room, following each role would ensure we got out, or so we thought anyway.

Once the specific roles had been handed out to us, we headed off into the room. We were all lead in a line into the dimly lit room.

I must point out that one of my biggest fears is that of the unknown. If I don't know what's going to happen and when I freak out massively. Let me just tell you that is exactly what I did.

Going into this very Naively I thought you was given an unlimited amount of time to escape and we could face being locked in there for good, this of course was not the case at all as they in fact gave us 45 minutes as a team and 5 extra minutes for two members of the team to go back in and try and solve it from where we had left of as a team. Sadly, we came so close yet so far from escaping.

All in all, we had an amazing experience and all LOVED it.

I would recommend you guys to go down and check it out! It's definitely something I won't forget and I cannot wait to go back and try to break free from the other rooms they have on offer for you to try and escape from.

If you're interested in having a look at what they offer go and check them

How Anxiety Effects Me.

Anxiety is something that can affect many people in many different ways. Sometimes you won't even be aware that someone suffers with anxiety.

It's always been something I've suffered with but growing up I didn't really understand why I felt the way I did, so I dealt with it a bit better I think, it's not until I left school and I was thrown into the big wide world and left to fend for myself that the realness of the whole thing hit me.

When it came to starting sixth form my anxiety really kicked in because I was about to meet new people and have to socialise with what I considered to be absolute strangers. With my course I had to go out and do voluntary placement so that meant working a long side people I don't know and having to bond some sort of working relationship with them.

I left sixth form and gained friends but of course it was something that at first was very daunting for me and something that for me took a lot of adjusting out of my normal sit quietly and get on with the work sort of routine.

Then, it came to finding a job. It took me a year to find a job and once offered it, the amount of sleepless nights I had on the run up to my first day of a working paid job. Once I'd started and found my feet I was okay.

My anxiety is something that has recently started affecting on a daily basis. I've been in my job nearly 3 years now and still every day I get anxiety over having to speak to people, I attend college but when it comes to the night before going, I cry and can't sleep because I don't want to face the rest of the class.

Blogging is also something that I'm finding hard. I love doing it, but I see other bloggers on twitter talking and  and it's something I wish I could do,  but my anxiety stops me.

It's something I am working on dealing with a lot better.

New Year New...

It's the one thing we're all guilty of saying every year and that is, "new year new me" but, in all seriousness, how many of us are actually stick to it?
We make new years resolutions that at the time are ideal and realistic, but when it comes to it, they're not and it just seems like so much effort.

This year, I am guilty of the whole thing, but there's something different about it.
Me and my boyfriend over the festive break have dined like kings and queens, I mean, we've had food out a lot. And, why not? It's Christmas and New Year it's acceptable.
Now the new year has come around and the adjustment to reality is currently in process, we both promised that we're going to cut back on eating out so much and going to do something about our weight. Personally, I don't feel like my boyfriend needs to because he's fine the way he is, me however, I am a mess and need to do something urgently.
So, today I transferred to the same gym as him and we're going to go and work out with each other 3 times a week and start doing something about the way we are.

Other than that part of things, I've told myself I'm going to start managing my time a lot more better than what I do now. I'm also going to change my whole appearance. It's definitely something that I've been wanting to do for a while now, just never felt confident enough to I guess. I don't feel overly confident to now, but it's time for a change.

I do also want to start up a Youtube channel and start doing videos at some point this year BUT that will be when I feel 100000% confident with the way my appearance is and I'm happy with myself.

Lets see how long I can keep all this up.. My guess is not too long.

New Years Eve Outfit Stress.

OH MY GOD, THIS IS AN EMERGENCY. Well, maybe not too much of an emergency but I really need your amazing help on deciding which footwear will go best with my new years eve outfit!!

So, whilst doing a bit of Christmas shopping a few weeks ago in Meadowhall, I stumbled across this absolute beauty in Quiz. I knew I needed it from the second I saw it in all honesty. It's so nice and different, Instantly the thought of going out at new year and wanting to wear it is what came to mind.
It should have cost me £17.99 but thanks to having student discount it was £15.50. Which admittedly is not much of a saving, but it's better than nothing I suppose.

The next problem I faced was what to wear it with, also in Quiz me and my mum spotted some leather look high waisted trousers and I had all intentions of buying them, but when I went back with my boyfriend a few days later to get them, he decided against the idea and suggested with my top being navy and white, the black leather look trousers wouldn't really match perfectly. So, that then sent me on a mission. Until yesterday.

Yesterday whilst doing MORE shopping, I went in to one of my favourite shops that is H&M. They have a really good sale on at the minute and saw so much stuff I loved, but the goal and purpose was to find the perfect skirt or trousers. I did exactly that.
Sadly I don't have a picture of it, but it was a short pencil skirt in the exact same colour white and the same material as what my top is.

The only problem I'm facing now is, I have absolutely no idea what shoes I can pair it up with.
I suggested some nice plain black stilettos and a plain black bag, but with the outfit being navy and white, I'm not sure.

Guys, Please can you help me?! I'm so stuck :(
Thank you so much!!

A Look Back At 2015.

Now, I feel like it may be slightly cliché to say this, but in all seriousness, what a roller coaster of a year 2015 has been for me.
I'm doing this post tonight because I'm really busy from now until next year so here it is...

My year began in the worst possible way. So, In January, My partner of a year and half left me and ended the relationship and as much as it hurt like mad at the time, I got through it and honestly, the breakup from him made me the person that I am today.
The breakup had a knock on affect on everyone around me, but they were all so amazing and supported me in the best way possible.

Also, last year, I was part way through my GCSE English Re-Take, It wasn't something I struggled with really, I enjoyed English when in school and came agonisingly close to getting that C grade to pass, 1 mark both times I tried to be exact. I knew I needed to do something though so this was my last time to try and get what I needed to, With everything that had happened earlier on in the year I was struggling a little, but come taking my exam I received the news that on results day, I had got that C!! I don't want to seem big headed for saying this but I've never felt more pride in myself than that moment.

End of June was when things changed for me A LOT. I met my now boyfriend and honestly, that was the part where I began to feel more myself and truly happy. We dated for a few weeks and went out like twice a week and saw each other a fair bit, until we both mutually decided we're happy and lets just get together.

I then started my Health and social care level 3 course at college and made my mind up that it's Midwifery that I want to do, so now that's what I'm working towards.

It's definitely hard to juggle a part time job, a full time college course, seeing my boyfriend and blogging but it's all about managing time better and getting it all done, being more organised.

I cannot wait to see what 2016 has in store for me. I hope you all have a great night on New Years Eve and Happy New Year!!

Down Day.

Do you ever have those days where you just don't feel yourself. The feeling is really hard to explain.
I've felt like it for a few days now and it's really bothering me because I don't like to be down like this.
That's partly why I've somewhat "abandoned" my blog. I have got posts scheduled but I literally have no motivation to do them.

Last night for instance, me and my boyfriend went out on our regular date nights that we go on, and we went Bowling. It was such a good night, I did lose terribly, but for me It was just about having a few hours to ourselves and having fun. After bowling we decided to head off to Meadowhall and did a slight bit of Christmas shopping.
The night was so nice, but towards the end I felt myself get more and more down when it came to me having to leave him. It was horrible.

But my moods not just because I miss my boyfriend. It's a mixture of so many things.

I think my main worry and concern away from personal stress like work and college, so on, is actually this blog. I am so determined to get it right and honestly, I feel like I'm failing at that. I just haven't got a clue.

I look at other bloggers and their blogs and feel like I cannot in any way compete with them. I know I might sound pretty silly but honestly, this is something that is so new to me. I'm not one of those people that puts themselves out there so this for me is something is completely new.

I honestly think I'm just having one of them times and will all wash over in a few days. At least I hope so anyway.
